Leadership Team

Jon Detweiler – Hospital Administrator

Jon is the Hospital Administrator and one of the owners of Telford Veterinary Hospital, joining Dr. Minninger and the leadership staff in 2006. He received his degree in Emergency Management from Hahnemann University in 1998 and has completed Executive Certificate work through Cornell University with a focus on Change Leadership. He began his career in public safety as a Paramedic and managed several Emergency Medical Service organizations and Medevac companies before making the career shift into Veterinary Medicine. His diverse background brought new ideas and concepts to the veterinary business. Jon believes that leadership through a consistent, positive example is the only way to achieve business success ultimately. Capitalizing on every opportunity to help the staff grow is the foundation of his daily activities. He also works closely with Dr. Minninger to deliver a specialized Canine Emergency Care class to law enforcement canine officers as well as a Canine Critical Care class to local EMS professionals who are having increased exposure to injured pets, in his time away from the practice he enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, hunting, and cooking.

Megan Zimmerman – Clinical Care Manager, Advanced Practice Nurse

Megan started with TVH in 2014 after deciding to go back to school to become a vet tech. Previously, she graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a B.S. in Athletic Training. She worked in sports medicine for 4 years along with being an EMT. During this time her lifelong passion for animals inspired a big career change. She was promoted to the leadership team in 2019 and serves as our Clinical Care Manager and one of our Advanced Practice Nurses under the direction of our Veterinarians. You may have seen one of her French bulldogs, Finley or Lowen, behind the counter or on our social media platforms. Megan also has an orange and white cat named Miles. In 2019 she rescued a 13-year-old dachshund named Dusty, who has furthered her passion for senior pets and hospice care. This interest allows her to utilize her background in PT to help our senior pet community thrive. After Dusty’s passing in 2023, Megan adopted another senior pet in need of a loving home, a 16-year-old Pug named Dot. She looks forward to her opportunities to be an educator to our community’s first responders through our K9 first aid and CPR course.

Emily Pinto – Client Services Manager, Veterinary Receptionist

Emily joined the Telford Veterinary staff in July 2020. She has worked closely with animals since graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2013. Most recently, Emily worked with an animal rescue that allowed her to care for hundreds of animals over the last 4 years. She was promoted to the leadership team in 2022 and oversees the hospital’s client-facing operations, including managing the reception and non-clinical teams.  Emily works as our staff liaison for Behavioral Consultations with Dr. Loeffler.  When she isn’t caring for animals, Emily enjoys spending time with her two rescue dogs and her husband. She is very excited to be a part of this close-knit team at Telford Veterinary Hospital so she can continue to help as many animals as possible!
