Sweet Beagle -- Simon

Simon is neutered, house-trained and up to date on his shots. His temperament is gentle, quiet, affectionate and social. He loves people and get along beautifully with other dogs. He loves to go for walks but, like all beagles, he's a scent-tracker so should always be on a leash or in a well-enclosed space when outdoors. He is believed to be between 7 and 10 years old. He was found as a stray in a serious state of neglect. He was wearing a collar that had become embedded in his neck and had an advanced case of mange had destroyed most of his fur. The mange is completely cured but left him with some hair loss on his back. With time and good nutrition it may grow back and there has some new growth since he's been in foster care. His teeth are in good shape and he has no discernible back or hip problems. He would probably do best in a home without cats unless they're well-acclimated to dogs. (Simon has shown no aggression, but like all beagles, he has a strong chase instinct.) Please call 215-721-0256.
